The program provides training mobility for students whose added value relates to the resources provided by each partner and the creation of an environment in which new practices and techniques not only for original jewelery but also practices are exchanged, shared, discussed and developed for a sustainable business. In addition and to ensure long-term benefits for all, the site, https://thefutureisourjewel.wordpress.com and all results will remain operational after the project closes, so that all stakeholders and partners can communicate with each other, exchange ideas, suggest improvements, and update innovative methods.
The V.T.I of Volos Municipality of KEKPA-DIEK visited two schools FOR.AL from Valenza, Italy and MOKUME Art School from Thessaloniki from April 1st to April 5th. During mobility seminars were held in Gemology on ‘Diamond, Theory and Practice’, in jewelry techniques – filigree, enamel, crochet, and ‘macrame’. The workshops were daily, on a daily schedule of at least eight hours! Students and educators visited the Archaeological Museum of Volos, the N&S Tsalapata Brick Museum, the Sesklo and Dimini Archaeological Sites, Makrinitsa and were thrilled with the cultural heritage of our area!
The management team would like to thank all the trainers of the Jewelery department-ms Rania Christaki, Sofia Lagou, Sofia Symiakaki- involved in the actions and Mr. Christos Drakatos Diamond Grader HRD, graduate of V.T.I of Municipality of Volos, today a professional in the field, who participated in the seminar on Gemology with the trainer of the jewellery department ms Leta Argyrakou.
